It was hard to do the 20hrs-Chengdu-Wenchuan-Chengdu Bike Ride last month, and here it is again, we did an another cool ride.

Chengdu is the capital of Sichuan Province. The city is so much more in-land than other cities, but this city is so much active and fantionable. We started from such a city, heading south, 07:20.

There were 5 of us.

D1：

From Chengdu to Reshou, the view is pretty boring, except there is one uphill which can interest us. The uphill is 4.8km in total, elevation increased by 300m. After the pass, we just downhilled and rolled all the way to Renshou.

We visited Renshou Celestial Ladder, which is a long straight stair way uphill, about 1000 steps, straight up to the top of a mountain.

From Renshou to Jinyan, and from Jinyan to Sanjiang, there is 20km horribly broken road, which is NOT as bad as shit, but it is surely a lot worse than shit. We beblieved that this section of road was designed for suspension forks test.

From Sanjiang to Rongxian, the road was along a river, it is very beautiful. And hills are not big. Road condition is perfect.

Rongxian is a good place before Zigong. There are good beef hot pot, goat hot pot and duck hot pot. The town is pretty alive, and this town is famous for a huge buddha statue about 5 km away, which is as old as the Grand Buddha Statue in Leshan.

We arrived in Zigong after midnight.

The town was still alive. Restaurants and shops were still running, typical Western Sichuan Sytle.

We stayed in a hotel next to the Salt Museum in Sha'wan area.

D2：

Bobbi and I woke up about 8:00. We had local breakfast and then took a taxi to the Dinosaur Fossile Museum. There were great number of dinosuar fossiles founded in early 20th centry. And Zigong is rich for natural gas and salt mine.

Lunch was at a Dicos fast food restaurant. Taste was OK.

We took bus back to Chengdu.
